ESS Services picks up Performance Award from Chevron

ESS Support Services Worldwide, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has been given a Performance Award by Chevron.

The award celebrates ESS - the defence, offshore and remote catering and support services provider - for its operational excellence in service delivery, continuous drive for improvement, behavioural-based health, environment and safety participation, and a lost-time-injury-free record of 18 years in the Alba Field.

Brenda Dulaney, President & Managing Director of Chevron UK presented Ian Edwards, ESS Operations Manager, and Alan Thomson, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Officer for ESS Offshore, with the award at Chevron's annual Contractor Health, Environment and Safety Management meeting, attended by over 200 people. 

Chris Garside, Managing Director of ESS Services, said: "People are at the heart of our business and our successful partnership with Chevron is due to our team's daily drive to improve service and standards. Our support functions also play a large part in this, particularly in regards to our HSEQ culture. We are incredibly proud to be recognised by Chevron for our efforts, and look forward to working with them to develop our services in the future."

ESS has had a relationship with Chevron since January 2000, and currently provides soft facilities management (FM) services to four manned and one unmanned Chevron offshore sites in the North Sea. These soft services include: catering; hotel services; gymnasium provision and servicing; reprographics; planned preventative maintenance of galley and kitchen areas; refrigeration maintenance; first aiders; and refurbishment work within the accommodation areas.
