Eurest Services wins two FM industry awards

Eurest Services, Compass Group UK & Ireland's support services provider to the business and industry sector, walked away with two coveted awards at the recent PFM Awards 2010.

Eurest Services won 'Partners in FM - Corporate' for its partnership with client National Grid and the 'i-FM e-Business award' for its Compass Service Framework making it the only company to win two titles at this year's awards ceremony.

The Partners in FM - Corporate category celebrates a strategic partnership where a wide range of support services are operated for a large corporate client organisation. It was Eurest Services' contract with National Grid which won the award against competition from Mitie and EcovertFM.

Eurest Services began working with National Grid in 2003 and in 2009 the international electricity and gas company consolidated its support services into one contract a competitive tender.  Since this time Eurest Services has partnered with National Grid to provide services across 1,450 sites including electricity substations, gas compressors, office locations, depots, vacant land and vacant property. The range of soft services includes security, cleaning, portering, reception, vending, catering, mailroom, land management and key holding.

During the awards ceremony, Eurest Services' Compass Service Framework (CSF) also topped the e-Business category which recognises new technologies which improve business processes and performance in FM. The CSF is Eurest Services' web-based, knowledge-management operating platform which is used in sites around the world to ensure the consistent delivery of facilities management.

Steve Davies, Managing Director of Eurest Services - FM, said, "It has been such a remarkable year for Eurest Services: we have signed some fantastic new contracts, launched the first Advanced Apprenticeship in FM, and now we have been recognised by the industry and our peers in winning these two awards. The Partners in FM award is the second recognition of its kind for Eurest Services: last summer Eurest Services received the Euro FM Partners Across Borders award for its global relationship with Shell.
